Pour fêter l'ouverture de mon blog, j'organise un petit concours qui a pour seul et unique lot une de mes créations faite à la main. Il s'agit d'un sachet cadeau en coton, à l'ambiance très Noël, et d'une petite carte sapin. Attention, il n'y a pas de cadeau dedans, c'est juste l'emballage ! :p

Imitation lace and Mandala

Yesterday night was very depressing. I tried to work on new gift tags but it happened to end with nothing good. But then, i took my pen and started to scribble and it ended with this, which is not depressing at all (in my opinion) :

Today was full of surprises as well ! I've done a new same kind of "lace" drawing and i've started working on Mandala pattern. I could'nt help coloring the first one (not enough patiente to scan and print it) but I definitly am going to wait for the second as I think it's the best one i've ever made. So there's no way for me to ruin it ! Who wants to color it ?

Hier soir, j'ai eu toutes les raisons d'être déprimée. J'ai essayé de travailler sur de nouvelles cartes de Noël mais ça n'a rien donné du tout. Mais je ne me suis pas démontée et j'ai commencé à gribouillé au stylo noir sur des cartes et voici ce que ça a donné (voir premières photos). Ça m'a bien remonté le moral. Quel est votre préféré ?

Aujourd'hui fut une journée pleine de surprises et de nouvelles expériences aussi ! J'ai de nouveau dessiner au stylo noir des "imitations dentelle" et j'ai commencé à travailler sur des motifs de Mandala. Je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de colorier le premier (pas assez patiente pour le scanner et l'imprimer) mais il est sûr que je vais attendre pour le second car je pense que c'est le meilleur que j'ai fait jusqu'à présent (bon, en même temps, je n'en ai fait que 3). Il n'y a donc pas moyen que je le gâche en me loupant sur les couleurs ! Qui veut le colorier ?

Yesterday night i was so scared because internet was out of order. But this morning, it was working again. What a relief ! So i have a lot to catch up. First let's talk about my knitting. I've finished the main piece and the sleeves :

Last time, i've told you about mandala and the painting i made on a trouser. There it is :

What do you think of it ? I'd like to have your opinion ! What colors would you have used ? And on which cloth would you paint this pattern ?

Hier j'ai eu très peur car internet de marchait plus. Heureusement, ce matin, tout est rentré dans l'ordre. Quel soulagement ! J'ai donc pas mal de retard à rattraper. Parlons d'abord de mon tricot en cours. (voir 1ère photo). N'est-il pas chou ? J'ai fini le dos et les devants, les manches. Il ne me reste plus qu'à fair ele col et la boutonnière.

Battery low and Mandala

I can't believe it ! I was finally about to take some pictures and the batteries of my camera turned out to be low. That's a shame because i have a lot to show : i've done a lot of progress with my knitting and i've finished my new set of gift wrapping.
So i'm gonna have to find something else to write about. Have you ever heard of mandala ? This is a kind of drawing or painting that have a round shape most of the time. The most important is that the pattern has to have a center. I don't know if i'm making myself clear… :s

A few months ago, i've drawn one myself. That's a very difficult exercise I think. I had to work hard on it to make it (kind of) right. Here it is :

This kind of drawing is made for coloring but i've reproduced it on a trouser and painted it. That was very long and very demanding but the final result is quite good. I will post a picture when my camera is reloaded ;-)
I don't know about yourself, but i love coloring. I've spent a lot of time coloring mandala lately and i can say that it is a very healthy activity. It teaches you precision and focus. Would you like to try and color my mandala ? Let me know…

Je n'y crois pas ! J'allais enfin prendre des photos quand je me suis aperçue que les batteries de l'appareil étaient vide. C'est dommage car j'avais beaucoup de choses à montrer : j'ai beaucoup progressé dans mon tricot et j'ai fini mon nouvel ensemble d'emballages cadeau.

Je vais donc devoir trouver autre chose à dire. Avez-vous déjà entendu parler des mandala ? C'est un dessin ou une peinture "centré", avec, le plus souvent, une forme ronde. Si ce n'est pas très clair comme explication, vous pouvez jeter un œil là :

Il y a quelques mois, j'en ai dessiné un. C'est un exercice très difficile je trouve. J'ai dû beaucoup travailler dessus pour que ça donne à peu près quelque chose. Le voici donc (voir photo plus haut).

Ce genre de dessin est fait pour être colorier mais je l'ai reproduit sur un de mes pantalons et l'ai peint. Ce fut très long et très exigeant mais le résultat final est plutôt bon donc ça valait le coup. Je publierai une photo quand mon appareil sera rechargé ;-)

Je ne sais pas pour vous, mais moi j'adore colorier. J'ai passé beaucoup de temps à colorier des mandala ces derniers temps et je trouve que c'est une activité très saine. Ça apprend la précision, la concentration et la patience. Aimeriez-vous tenter l'expérience en coloriant mon mandala ? Tenez-moi au courant…

So tired again !

I'm so tired tonight as well that i'm too lazy to take pictures once more ! I've been knitting my baby boy's jumper all day long. I don't know if you knit, but believe me or not, this is exhausting !! But i'm very happy  with what i've done so far : that's gonna be very cute :).

So i'm gonna have to find another picture of an old project. Let's see…

All right, I found this which is not very old actually. This is a pattern that i found on Ravelry. The beads in the middle are my own personnal touch. I have sewn it on one of my jumper which is made out of the same kind of yarn, and same color too. So it fits perfectly. This very fluffy kind of yarn is very hard to crochet but it worth it !

Tomorrow, I really have to do something else that knitting or i'm going to turn crazy. And i definitly have to take pictures of the work i've done these last 3 days… We'll see.

Je suis tellement fatiguée ce soir encore que je n'ai pas le courage de prendre de photos ! Il ne faudrait pas que cela devienne une habitude ! J'ai tricoté le gilet de mon bébé toute la journée. Je ne sais pas si vous tricotez mais croyez-moi ou pas, c'est très fatiguant !! Mais je suis très contente avec le résultat jusqu'à présent : ça devrait être très mignon :).

Je vais donc devoir trouver une photo d'un vieux projet. Voyons voir…

Voilà, j'ai trouvé ceci qui n'est pas si vieux en fait. C'est un modèle que j'ai trouvé sur Ravelry. Les petites perles au milieu sont ma touche personnelle. Je l'ai cousu à un de mes gilets qui est dans les même tons et le même genre de laine. Ce genre de laine, le mohair, n'est vraiment pas facile à crocheter, on y voit pas grand chose. Mais le résultat en vaut la peine je trouve.

Demain, je dois vraiment essayer de faire autre chose que tricoter toute la journée ou bien je vais devenir folle ! Et je dois aussi prendre des photos de ce que j'ai fait ces 3 derniers jours. Nous verrons…

Just a few words

Just a few words tonight to say that i'm too tired to take pictures of what i have done today ! :p But i'm sure you can wait until tomorrow. I've been working, first on Christmas gift wrappings again but with a new fabric and new size. These one will definitly be for kids ! Then I started working on a new jumper pattern for my son who is still in my belly, but soon here (can't wait) ! For that, i am knitting a sample with a new yarn half-wool, half-camel. This is my first time with this kind of yarn. I like it, it is quite soft. And i'm trying a new rib stitch too. To sum up, a lot of new experimentations !

Finally, a picture of a knitted cable bracelet that i've made a few weeks ago. If you like it, i can give you the pattern, just let me know ! My friend Jennifer loved it and i'm supposed to knit her one soon but i'm kind of running out of time (too many projects). But i'm gonna try anyway and knit it with a yarn made out of silk that i found in a very big shop last time i went to London. I was very happy to find it because silk is very difficult to find in France, i don't why !?

Juste quelques mots ce soir pour dire que je suis trop fatiguée pour prendre des photos de ce que j'ai fait aujourd'hui. :p Mais je suis sûre que vous pouvez patienter jusqu'à demain. J'ai travaillé, tout d'abord, sur mes emballages cadeau de Noël mais avec des tissus et des tailles différentes. Ce sera plus pour les enfants. Ensuite, j'ai commencé à travailler sur un nouveau patron de gilet pour mon fils qui est encore bien au chaud dans mon ventre, mais bientôt parmi nous ! Pour cela, j'ai tricoté un échantillon avec un fil que j'utilise pour la première fois, mi-mouton, mi-chameau. Elle est douce et agréable à tricoter. J'ai essayé un nouveau type de côtes aussi : des côtes nouées. C'est bien, ça change des classiques côtes 2/2. Pour résumé, beaucoup d'expérimentations aujourd'hui ! 


Enfin, voici la photo d'un bracelet tricoté à torsades que j'ai fait il y a quelques semaines déjà. Si vous l'appréciez, je peux vous donner le patron. Mon amie Jennifer l'a adoré et je suis censée lui en faire un sous peu mais je dois dire que je manque un peu de temps (trop de projets en cours et en tête).
Mais je vais essayer tout de même et utiliser cette fois un fil en soie que j'ai trouvé dans un grand magasin la dernière fois que je suis aller à Londres. J'étais très contente d'en trouver car ce n'est pas monnaie courante dans les magasins français. Je me demande bien pourquoi !?  

Christmas gift tag

It seems that everything is about Christmas lately in my head when october is not even over ! Maybe it's because I can't wait for it to arrive because it means that I will be a mama at this time. :)
So, this is what i have done today : Christmas gift tag (very small, very cute). The tree is felt and the small red dots are beads. I love working with beads lately.

Il semblerait que tout tourne autour de Noël dan ma tête ces temps-ci, alors que Octobre n'est même pas encore fini ! Peut-être est-ce parce que je suis très impatiente car à ce moment-là, je serai enfin maman :).

Donc, voilà ce que j'ai fait aujourd'hui : des petites cartes cadeaux pour Noël : très petites, très mignonnes. Le sapin est en feutre et les petits points rouges sont des perles de rocaille. Welcome and Tawashi

This is my very first blog in English so please forgive me if you find some spelling or gramatical mistakes ! If you want to, you can tell me, i'm here to learn ! :)
So this blog is about handmade creations : i love knitting, sewing, felting, cooking, and always trying new things. I will open soon an Etsy shop so if you want to buy some of my stuff, you know what to do ; and if you don't, just google "Etsy" and you'll find out what to do very easily.
I'm on Ravelry as well and my username is Emimage, so if you want to become friends, once again, you know what to do ! :)

And to start with something fun, let me introduce my new friend : a tawashi ! Look how happy it is ! Have you ever heard about it ? This is a traditional japanese scrubber. This one is not really traditionnal but very cute, isnt'it ? And it works ! It really can wash the dishes. I found the pattern on Ravelry so go and check out if you want to knit the same.
I think i'm going to try and design my own pattern soon. One more project !

Et pour commencer avec quelque chose de sympa, laissez-moi vous présenter mon nouvel ami le Tawashi. Regardez comme il a l'air heureux ! Avez-vous déjà entendu parler de cela ? C'est une "éponge traditionnelle japonaise. Celui-ci n'a pas vraiment l'air traditionnel mais il est mignon, n'est-ce pas ? Et ça marche, vous pouvez vraiment laver votre vaisselle avec, ou tout autre chose.

J'ai trouvé le patron sur Ravelry donc aller jeter un coup d'œil si vous voulez tricoter le même. Je vais essayer de faire mon propre modèle bientôt, quand j'aurai le temps. Et un projet de plus, un !
