I have been very busy and tired these last few weeks, that's why I haven't been posting. Life is so exhausting sometimes. The little free time I managed to get was well spent though. I have made a lot of drawings and here are a few :

My partner received my parcel ! So I can show what I made for her now.
There was : organic biscuits, vintage fabric, a recycled note-book, my album (i'm a musician too),
I really hope she enjoyed ! Have a nice week-end !
Ma partenaire pour le Green Swap a reçu son colis, je peux donc dévoiler ce qu'il y avait dedans : un paquet de biscuits bio, un bloc-note en papier recyclé, du tissu vintage, mon album (je suis musicienne aussi), deux pochettes cadeaux en tissu et une carte à son nom. J'espère qu'elle a aimé ! Bon week-end !

Voici quelques Mandalas dessiné récemment. Lequel préférez-vous ? Le mien est celui celui-ci (troisième photo). Je pense le réutiliser pour un dessin plus grand. Et enfin, voici une nouvelle version colorée d'un de mes tout premiers Mandalas.

Here I am again !
Hello everyone ! (en français plus bas)
I haven't been blogging for quite a while but i have got a very good excuse : my son is born at the end of december and i have been very tired and very busy since he's here !! But what a magic hapiness it is to take care of him everyday. :-) Here is a picture of the beloved one :
He is now 3 months old and i manage to have a little bit more time for myself so i have been crafting again recently. I have drawn loads of mandalas and i have done patchwork embroidery as well.
In a previous article, i talked to you about one of my first mandalas. I was not very satisfied with it so i decided to do it again in a better way. The new version is so different that it's quite hard to see the first one in it (even though the structure stays the same).
But i'm quite happy with it in the end. Now i just have to color it.

Je n'ai pas écrit depuis un bon moment mais j'ai une très bonne excuse : mon fils est né fin décembre et j'ai été très fatiguée et occupée depuis. Mais quel bonheur de m'occuper de lui chaque jour.
Il a maintenant trois mois et je réussis à avoir un peu plus de temps pour moi. Récemment, j'ai donc pu dessiné beaucoup de mandalas et faire de la broderie de type "patchwork fantaisie".
Dans un article précédent, je vous avais parlé d'un de mes tout premier mandalas. Mais comme je n'en étais pas vraiment satisfaite, j'ai décidée de le retravailler. Le résultat est si différent de l'original que l'on a du mal à voir le lien entre les deux (même si la structure reste la même). Cette fois, je suis plutôt contente. J'ai essayé de l'imprimer après l'avoir scanné, mais le résultat n'a pas été probant. Le noir est sorti gris et donc les traits n'étaient pas francs, ce qui gâche un peu la chose. Peut-être est-ce juste une question de réglage.

Imitation lace and Mandala

Yesterday night was very depressing. I tried to work on new gift tags but it happened to end with nothing good. But then, i took my pen and started to scribble and it ended with this, which is not depressing at all (in my opinion) :
Hier soir, j'ai eu toutes les raisons d'être déprimée. J'ai essayé de travailler sur de nouvelles cartes de Noël mais ça n'a rien donné du tout. Mais je ne me suis pas démontée et j'ai commencé à gribouillé au stylo noir sur des cartes et voici ce que ça a donné (voir premières photos). Ça m'a bien remonté le moral. Quel est votre préféré ?
Aujourd'hui fut une journée pleine de surprises et de nouvelles expériences aussi ! J'ai de nouveau dessiner au stylo noir des "imitations dentelle" et j'ai commencé à travailler sur des motifs de Mandala. Je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de colorier le premier (pas assez patiente pour le scanner et l'imprimer) mais il est sûr que je vais attendre pour le second car je pense que c'est le meilleur que j'ai fait jusqu'à présent (bon, en même temps, je n'en ai fait que 3). Il n'y a donc pas moyen que je le gâche en me loupant sur les couleurs ! Qui veut le colorier ?

Battery low and Mandala

I can't believe it ! I was finally about to take some pictures and the batteries of my camera turned out to be low. That's a shame because i have a lot to show : i've done a lot of progress with my knitting and i've finished my new set of gift wrapping.
So i'm gonna have to find something else to write about. Have you ever heard of mandala ? This is a kind of drawing or painting that have a round shape most of the time. The most important is that the pattern has to have a center. I don't know if i'm making myself clear… :s

This kind of drawing is made for coloring but i've reproduced it on a trouser and painted it. That was very long and very demanding but the final result is quite good. I will post a picture when my camera is reloaded ;-)
I don't know about yourself, but i love coloring. I've spent a lot of time coloring mandala lately and i can say that it is a very healthy activity. It teaches you precision and focus. Would you like to try and color my mandala ? Let me know…

Je n'y crois pas ! J'allais enfin prendre des photos quand je me suis aperçue que les batteries de l'appareil étaient vide. C'est dommage car j'avais beaucoup de choses à montrer : j'ai beaucoup progressé dans mon tricot et j'ai fini mon nouvel ensemble d'emballages cadeau.
Je vais donc devoir trouver autre chose à dire. Avez-vous déjà entendu parler des mandala ? C'est un dessin ou une peinture "centré", avec, le plus souvent, une forme ronde. Si ce n'est pas très clair comme explication, vous pouvez jeter un œil là :
Il y a quelques mois, j'en ai dessiné un. C'est un exercice très difficile je trouve. J'ai dû beaucoup travailler dessus pour que ça donne à peu près quelque chose. Le voici donc (voir photo plus haut).
Ce genre de dessin est fait pour être colorier mais je l'ai reproduit sur un de mes pantalons et l'ai peint. Ce fut très long et très exigeant mais le résultat final est plutôt bon donc ça valait le coup. Je publierai une photo quand mon appareil sera rechargé ;-)
Je ne sais pas pour vous, mais moi j'adore colorier. J'ai passé beaucoup de temps à colorier des mandala ces derniers temps et je trouve que c'est une activité très saine. Ça apprend la précision, la concentration et la patience. Aimeriez-vous tenter l'expérience en coloriant mon mandala ? Tenez-moi au courant…
